OUR FACILITY
OUR INDOOR SPACE
Owl House isn’t just a place for children; it’s a home away from home. Our cozy, thoughtfully designed space provides children with the comfort of a home environment while offering endless opportunities for play, movement, and exploration.
Here, every room becomes a play space throughout the day. The kitchen fills with the comforting scents of home-cooked meals, while the living room is a space for gathering, reading, and play. The laundry room doubles as a dedicated Duplo building area, and the nap room transforms into a playful space when not in use. Even the office has dedicated play areas alongside its workspace.
Throughout the house, children find exciting ways to move and explore, from an indoor slide and mini climbing wall to ladders and an “Owl’s Nest” perched high in the vaulted ceiling. Yoga swings encourage balance and coordination, while a cozy couch and mattresses provide the perfect spots for safe yet adventurous jumps. A miniature porcelain toilet supports little ones in their journey toward independent toileting, helping them build confidence along the way.
In addition to all the physical play, Owl House is filled with a vast array of toys, art supplies, and books, sparking creativity and exploration. A collection of costumes adds to the fun, inviting kids to dress up and play. Music fills our days, adding to the warmth and rhythm of a space where children can explore, learn, and thrive.
Every inch of Owl House is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and full of possibilities.
OUR OUTDOOR SPACE
Nestled in Old Hailey, Owl House’s expansive outdoor space invites children to explore, engage with nature, and take part in adventurous play that supports both physical and mental development. Our large lot, thoughtfully shaped and developed by Grandma Pamela since 1997, features multiple play areas designed to inspire creativity, physical activity, and confidence-building challenges. Pamela’s passion for landscape architecture shines through the extensive rock walls, garden paths, and natural features she’s crafted over the years.
At Owl House, we believe that adventurous play is essential for growing brains and bodies. Our space offers plenty of opportunities for children to challenge themselves, including a child-sized zip line, a variety of climbing options, and low trees to climb. These activities encourage children to assess risks and make decisions—key skills for lifelong learning and resilience.
In the spring, summer, and fall, the fountain provides a popular gathering spot, where children collect water for outdoor projects, while the zip line, garden paths, and friendly chickens foster endless imaginative play. The raspberry bushes and fruit trees add a touch of nature’s bounty, giving children the chance to explore the cycle of growth. Strider bikes, shovels, toy trucks, and tractors encourage hours of exploration, racing, and pretend play, as children immerse themselves in their ever-evolving outdoor adventures. One of their favorite activities is pretending to cook in their “camping kitchen,” using dirt and natural materials to create delicious, imaginary meals.
As the seasons change, winter brings a new wave of excitement, with sleds and shovels ready for outdoor exploration in the colder months. The snow-covered paths around the yard offer opportunities for creative play and physical activity, making every season a time for adventure.
Our outdoor space is carefully designed to nurture a child’s natural love for movement, exploration, and risk-taking. We believe that these elements are an essential part of childhood, which is why we intentionally provide opportunities for children to engage in free play with natural challenges. From climbing to exploring, riding bikes to pretending in the camping kitchen, Owl House children have the space, freedom, and encouragement they need to thrive—both inside and out.
