Alliance for Childhood builds, strengthens, and empowers advocacy networks for play to improve the lives of children. We work to support children’s healthy development, love of learning, and joy in living.

The Early Years is the single most important period of our lifespan. Our early environments and experiences profoundly influence brain development and the conditions and later mindsets necessary for healthy physical, mental, and emotional growth. All children deserve to live in worlds that enable them to flourish.

IPA’s purpose is to protect, preserve and promote the child’s right to play as a fundamental human right.

Our mission is to attain optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Our mission is to promote and support the optimal education, development, and well-being of children worldwide. We have consultative status with the United Nations.

Child Honouring is a unique social change revolution, one with the child at its heart. It views how we regard and treat our young as the key to building a humane and sustainable world; organizing society around the priority needs of its youngest members.

Because we design and create furniture with our own children in mind, quality and beauty come naturally. Children need playthings that are simple and natural to promote open-ended play. Crafted with the health and safety of children as a top priority, our products are free of any compounds we believe are unhealthy to children or the environment.

We are a non-profit organization working for a just, equitable, and quality early childhood education for every young child. DEY publishes reports, makes mini-documentaries, issues position statements, advocates on policy and provides early childhood educators and advocated with valuable resources.

Our mission is to promote the principles of child development as the basis for all decision making for young children. We believe that play grows brains best; that children grow along the same path, at their own unique pace.

 A global network of organizations and professionals working to enrich children’s learning and play by improving the way school grounds are designed and used.

The Playground Resource working to achieve playspace equality – the ability for every kid to have access to incredible places to play. When kids don’t have a place to play, something’s fundamentally wrong. A community that lacks access to quality play spaces also misses out on the chance to give kids the joys of childhood and the physical, emotional, and social benefits of play. And all to often, this more deeply affects communities of color.

We envision a near term future where all existing scientific research related to human play is integrated and the field of Human Play is credentialed discipline in the scientific community.

The Peaceful Playgrounds Program provides a low-cost avenue for K-8 schools to organize and manage their schoolyards and playgrounds. For a tenth the cost of conventional playground structures, schools can now have an active play area that spreads kids across the entire playground resulting in fewer problems. Used in over 8,000 Schools!

Play is an essential part of every child’s life. It is vital for the enjoyment of childhood as well as for social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.

A grassroots organization of educators who prepare materials and provide information to help parents and educators work to counteract the harmful impact of commercial culture, media, and marketing on children’s play, learning, and behavior.

The US Play Coalition is a partnership to promote the value of play throughout life. We are an international network of individuals and organizations that recognize play as a valuable and necessary part of a healthy and productive life.
